Here in Sweden, we celebrate Christmas Eve as the big holiday, while I guess most of my readers exchange their gifts on the 25th. Also, we usually celebrate with a “Julbord,” a buffé of hot and cold foods such as the glorious Christmas Ham (no turkey for us), meatballs, brown beans, Jansson’s Temptation (a kind of casserole), and other goodies. It may vary in different parts of the country and the buffé is often overflowing with so much food, we can eat it until New Year’s Eve.
So Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Eid/Bayram, or whatever else you celebrate!
